Sean Lopez is the founder and Managing Partner of Lopez Law Group, a full-service law firm built to serve real people facing real problems. A Florida native based in St. Petersburg, Sean built the firm from the ground up through word-of-mouth referrals, long-term client relationships, and a reputation for giving straight answers and doing the work the right way.

Sean’s practice spans multiple areas of law, including real estate, litigation, landlord-tenant matters, business disputes, and related legal issues that impact families, property owners, and small businesses. Rather than viewing legal matters in isolation, Sean approaches every case holistically, understanding that most clients are dealing with overlapping legal, financial, and personal pressures at the same time. Clients value this perspective because it leads to practical strategies, not just legal arguments.

Sean’s legal foundation was shaped at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies, and at Stetson University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. During and after law school, Sean developed a strong interest in how law intersects with real-world operations, land use, and development, and that interest has defined his career ever since. He is a member of The Florida Bar and has contributed to legal scholarship through law review publications, but his focus has always remained on applying the law in ways that actually help people move forward.

What truly distinguishes Sean is his hands-on, practical background outside the classroom and courtroom. Before and alongside his legal career, he worked directly in construction and development, gaining firsthand experience with residential and commercial projects, zoning issues, permitting, compliance, negotiations, and disputes. That experience allows him to identify problems early, speak the same language as contractors, property owners, and business operators, and craft solutions that reflect how things actually work, not how they are supposed to work on paper.

Today, Sean continues to actively represent clients while leading the firm’s strategy, systems, and culture. As Managing Partner, he believes clients deserve transparency, responsiveness, and accountability, and he holds himself and his team to those standards. Clients often seek him out because they want someone who will tell them the truth, take ownership of their case, and see it through from start to finish.

Outside the office, Sean is a devoted father and family man. That role shapes how he views his responsibility to clients, because he understands that legal problems can affect livelihoods, stability, and the people who depend on you. He values integrity, hard work, and balance, and he brings those same values into his practice and leadership every day.
