Nikita Goldenberg, Esq. is a trial-focused attorney at Lopez Law Group whose practice includes both criminal and civil matters.
He brings a strategic, detail-oriented approach to litigation and is at his best in the parts of a case that decide it: the motions, the cross-examinations, and the moments in front of a judge or jury where preparation either holds up or falls apart.
Nikita’s value to a client starts with a realistic read on the case. As a former prosecutor, he has stood on the other side of these fights and watched what evidence survives a courtroom and what does not. He uses that perspective to tell clients exactly where they stand, even when the answer is not the one they were hoping for. He is direct about the strengths of a case, just as direct about the weaknesses, and clear about what each realistic path is likely to cost and produce. Clients make the call on how to proceed, but they make it with the facts in front of them rather than a more comfortable version of them.
That perspective comes from real time in the courtroom. As an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, Nikita handled high-volume caseloads and gained extensive experience with evidentiary motions, jury trials, and contested hearings. He served as first-chair trial counsel on multiple jury trials involving DUI, domestic battery, and possession charges, where he conducted jury selection, handled witness examinations, argued evidentiary motions, and managed cases through every stage of litigation. Few things prepare a lawyer to defend a case better than having had to prove one.
Today, Nikita puts that experience to work for clients on the defense side. His training runs especially deep in impairment cases: he completed specialized instruction in DUI investigation and impairment detection, including certification as a Breath Test Operator, along with Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and Advanced Roadside Impairment Detection. Because he understands the procedures and science behind a DUI arrest from the inside, he knows where these cases tend to break down and asks the questions most likely to expose a stop that was not conducted properly.
His practice reaches well beyond the criminal side. Nikita also handles civil litigation and business-related disputes, including matters involving complex liability and contested commercial landlord-tenant issues. Across both his criminal and civil work the method is the same: he builds each case through motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation, and he prepares every one as though it is going to trial rather than hoping it never does.
Nikita earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law after completing a double major in Economics and Political Science at Eckerd College. That academic background supports the disciplined, analytical way he approaches litigation, negotiation, and case preparation, breaking a matter down to the issues that drive the outcome.
Fluent in English and Russian, Nikita works effectively with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the Tampa Bay area, and enjoying the outdoors.
Mr. Lopez was a Godsend and really helped me with my situation. Him and the entire firm were very diligent and helped speed the early stages of the process along due to a pressing situation. Throughout my experience working with the firm, they were always responsive and available any time I had a question or wanted to check on the state of affairs. Hopefully I won’t have to recommend Lopez Law Group to my friends or family, but if those unfortunate circumstances arise then there’s only one name I would trust. Thank you again for all your help!
I called multiple attorneys to resolve my issue and none had much experience as much as this form. Anthony was amazing and made sure that as his client I was satisfied and understanding with his work. Very helpful and very patient and I was able to communicate with ease. I will definitely recommend this firm if you have a landlord/tenant issue or just an amazing attorney who listens to his clients needs.

"Awesome!"
Thank you Geoff Pfeiffer, for your assistance when my HOA pushed back on my installation of the Solar Panels on my home. Your succinct and eloquent statements of my rights to them turned a “solar panels are not allowed on the front side of the roof, to a 100% approval with no changes needed. Thank you for helping me quickly resolved what was gearing up to be a fight with the HOA.

“I Will Never Use Another Lawyer”
We couldn’t be more satisfied with Sean’s work and are so grateful we chose him to represent us. He works so diligently and tenaciously to get results, and somehow manages to combine being a consummate professional yet friendly and approachable. I was honestly terrified of receiving the final bill considering the hours upon hours he invested in our case (texts, calls, emails, meetings, etc.) after hearing nightmare lawyer stories from other people, but when I did I was shocked at how little he charged us. I never thought I’d say I wanted to pay somebody more than they charged, yet this time I did. I will never use another lawyer; we will use Sean for any and all representation we will ever need, and I urge others to do the same. Thank you, Sean!
